Chat about the earily years of computer geekdom when very few people knew or cared about computers except real technoweenies and geeks. I purchased my first home computer in 1979 and have been happyily addicted evr since. My son likes to tell people have forgotten more than most will ever know or want too know and I have the pocket protectors and slide rules to prove it.

Mom? I would really like to purchase one of your old harps?

Would that be ok, I promise I would take care of it like you did.

I've found a music place that can service it safely.

Sorry hon but all but one in that picture I have had since I was a a kid or a teenager. I really don't think i could sell them - to many memories attached. Some were presents from long gone family members and one belonged to my grandfather. I couldn't put a price on things like that at least not now. Maybe after I retire and money gets tight I may need to sell a few off but for now they are too precious to me. There are a few in that picture over 50 years old and well cared for.

Hi Mom,

I just hit my first mile stone on the harmonica.

When I close my eyes, and just let it all out sort of speak, My harp playing sounded so awesome.

I wish I really could post a clip. I wonder if blues N clues would be able too help me in this area?

And is he on anymore?

you just need some kind of recording software(what we call DAW-digital audio workstation) & an upload hosting site like speedyshare or soundclick.
you can try Acoustica mixcraft for free for a week or use a free one like Audacity. record & mixdown to mp3 then upload to 1 of the hosting sites i mentioned. Wink

that should work as long as you can mix down to an mp3 format. that's what all the hosting sites take.
